Our History
Haynes Oliver Ltd was founded in June 2019, marking a significant shift for founder, Dave Bownes, who departed from a successful corporate career to pursue new opportunities, driven by a desire for change.
Drawing on two decades of cultivated relationships and proven expertise, Dave quickly found there was a significant need for Haynes Oliver as a solution provider, not only amongst known automotive clients but also within new industries like defence, construction, civil engineering and property restoration.
In its early years, Haynes Oliver navigated unforeseen challenges, including the global pandemic of 2020, which threatened operations but also spurred innovation. By transitioning projects online and demonstrating adaptability, Haynes Oliver weathered the storm and solidified its presence.
Despite these obstacles, Dave remained committed to his vision for building a sustainable enterprise with lasting value. This dedication was evident in his development of Titan Learning, a groundbreaking SaaS product aligning training with business performance.
Today, Haynes Oliver is a successful partner to many businesses, fulfilling its goal of delivering intrinsic value. It is through the long-term management development partnership with the UK arm of an international company that Haynes Oliver has been recognised for ‘Innovation in Leadership Development’ in the SME News Midlands Enterprise Awards.

Our Founder
Haynes Oliver founded and run by Dave Bownes, Dave has an extensive background within the Automotive industry from shop floor through to senior management with a successful consultancy. He has had the privilege of working with some of the most well-known brands within Passenger Car, Light Commercial Vehicle, Truck, Motorcycle and Agriculture.
With extensive experience of cultural change supported by solid HR knowledge, people development is at the centre of his approach.
Leaving the corporate world has enabled Dave to pursue his own goals of making a difference for the right reasons!
Experience
The last 25 years, Dave has experienced the training world (giving people the tools in which to succeed) along with the commercial world (delivering a service within a commercial environment) and having seen a clear disconnect between the two, he identified an opportunity for Haynes Oliver Ltd to support various industries as well as Automotive.
Dave has been successful in securing some of the largest training and commercially focused contracts within the automotive industry, relating to people at different levels and understanding what drives success his skills are a valuable asset, taking clients ideas and collateral and translating it into practical and measurable deliverables for the end users has been key to his success.
